With the holidays over, the children are back in school, now it is time to come back to some basics with several fantastic recipes for you all.

SPANISH RICE
From the kitchen of Kerry Waterman

4 Cups Minute Rice
1 1/2 lbs. Ground Beef, Browned
1 large Can Tomato Sauce
1 large Can Stewed Tomatoes
1 4 oz. Can Mushrooms
Chopped Onion
Salt and Pepper
Couple shakes of Ground Cumin

Boil 4 cups of water then add 4 cups of rice. Cover and remove from heat, let stand for 10 minutes. In large bowl mix rice, cooked ground beef, tomato sauce, stewed tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, salt, pepper and ground cumin.
Bake at 350 degrees for about one (1) hour.
Very good served with Garlic Bread or Biscuits..

GARDEN TOSS TACOS from Rosie

1 lb. Ground Beef, cooked and drained
1 pkg. Taco Seasoning
16 oz. Can Chili Beans (optional)
1/2 Cup Water
Simmer for five (5) minutes

Toppings–
Lettuce
Tomatoes
Cheese
Onions
Olives
Corn Chips
Taco Sauces
Sour Cream

Place Corn Chips on a plate or in a bowl. Top with meat, then top with whatever ingredients each person desires.
Enjoy!!!

This next recipe comes from Anne Huhn and is one that your children can make.

SHELL’S FRUIT PIZZA

1 1/2 Tubes Sugar Cookie Dough
Spread on a pizza pan and bake. Cool
Whip together – two (2) Pkg. Cream Cheese and 2/3 Cup of sugar. Spread on cooled cookie dough. Place sliced fruit on top.
Your children will have fun making this and will enjoy eating it. Yummy good!!

4 Saturdays of Shopping

Mix ingredients carefully: Take turns stirring.
Heap with hugs and laughter.
Sweeten to taste and sprinkle with smiles.
Bake until memories are golden.
