The case involving Rebecca McCrimmon Johnson of Marion was bound over to Osceola County Circuit Court for a pretrial hearing 9 a.m. May 20.

In January she was charged with misappropriation of funds related to proceeds raised at the Marion Fair animal auction in 2015 of $20,000 or more, but less than $50,000 while serving as the fair board’s treasurer.

A probable cause hearing took place in district court in April.

One or more parents of youngsters who sold animals at the auction filed a complaint when proceeds had not been received in a timely manner. Osceola sheriff detectives investigated into misappropriation of funds. Thirty-nine fair exhibitors eventually picked up checks totaling $37,541.33.
