​Denise Jo Brocht

Denise Jo Brocht, of Marion, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Munson Healthcare’s Cadillac Hospital. She was 64.

Denise was born on March 23, 1952, in Flint, Michigan to Duane and Bonnie (Deveraux) Timlick. She entered into marriage with Gary Wade Brocht on November 8, 1969, in Forest Hill, MI.  The couple celebrated over 47 years together along with the pleasure of watching their family grow with the addition of two boys and five grandchildren. 

Denise made a living working several years with Kettunen Center as a cook.  Her talents in the kitchen however were not

limited to work, Denise, was a wonderful cook and could prepare meals and treats for many to enjoy.  She would pass the time sewing and knitting, or tending to her garden.  Denise also enjoyed her time in the woods hunting.  She will be missed by her family, friends and neighbors.  

Denise is survived by her loving family; her husband, Gary W. Brocht of Marion; two sons and daughter-in-law, Andy (Jenifer) Brocht of Marion, and Wade Brocht of Battle Creek; three granddaughters, Katelyn, Allison, and Lauren; two grandsons, Brenton and Kameron; her sisters, Diane Bryant, Loretta Timlick, and Teresa (Wade) Tignanelli; aunts, Donna Humphreys and Pat  Hammond; an uncle, Dennis (Marilyn) Deveraux, as well as many other loving family members and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, mother-in-law, Ines Brocht, and a sister, Dale Hilts.

Visitation for friends and family will take place on Sunday, March 5, 2017 from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Marion Baptist Church.  Funeral services will follow also at the church on Monday March 6, 2017 at 11:00 am, with visitation one hour prior.  Officiating will be Rev. Dennis Williams. 

Memorial contributions will be directed to Marion Baptist Church, 19909 40th Ave, Marion, MI 49665.
