Middle Branch township officials are dealing with budgets and roads in upcoming meetings.
The township had a regular meeting on Monday to have members look at the proposed budget.
A 7 p.m. meeting on March 27 will continue the process. Township clerk Peggy Hoard said the township on March 29 will meet with the Osceola County Road Commission and go over various road needs for the township.
Following Monday’s meeting, Hoard said the board will meet on March 27 as it develops a five-year plan for township roads.
“We want to have public input on that,” she said. “We have three miles to blacktop roads. The rest is gravel.” The township repaired two bridges last year. Hoard indicated a general concern for residents includes ditching, graveling and brining. The five-year plan will be designing what will take place. The meeting on March 27 will give the board input on how to work with the road commission when they meet on March 29.
“Hopefully, we can put together a good five-year plan,” Hoard said.
