May 8-14
May 8 – An Officer was dispatched to a civil dispute. The complainant was advised to contact District Court to proceed with a small claims suit.

May 9 — An officer was dispatched to a malicious destruction of property complaint. The officer investigated the scene, and the complaint remains open at this time.

May 10 — An officer was dispatched to a disorderly person complaint. The subject was arrested for a probation violation.

May 10 — An officer was dispatched to the hospital for a domestic assault that occurred the night prior. The officer followed up with the suspect and witness, and the report has been submitted to the Prosecutor’s Office for review.

May 10 — An officer came across two dogs running on Main Street. The officer caught the dogs and held them at the Evart Police Department. The dogs were turned over to the Osceola County Animal Control.

May 10 — An officer was dispatched to a suspicious vehicle complaint. The officer investigated the complaint and located the owner at their place of work.

May 10 — An officer was dispatched to a larceny of a bicycle complaint. The victim located the bicycle at a residence later that evening. The victim decided not to press charges after receiving the property back.

May 11 — An officer was dispatched to a check well-being complaint. The officer was advised by a neighbor that the person moved out approximately two weeks ago. The information was passed to the complainant.

May 11 — An officer was dispatched to an animal cruelty complaint. The officer arrived on scene and located pot belly pig in the vehicle. The Osceola County Animal Control was contacted and seized the pig. The complaint remains open at this time.

May 12 — An officer assisted the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department with a disorderly juvenile complaint.

May 12 — An officer was dispatched to a suspicious person complaint. The officer checked the area for the suspicious person, but was unable to locate the person.

May 12 — An officer was dispatched to a barking dog complaint. The officer was advised the dog had been barking throughout the afternoon. The officer witnessed the barking as well, and the owner was issued a citation for the Municipal Ordinance violation.

May 12 — An Officer was dispatched to assist the Osceola County Sheriff Department with an area check for cows on the road. The officer arrived in the area, but was unable to locate any cows in the area.

May 13 — An officer was dispatched to a suspicious person complaint. The officer located the person and determined they were not doing any illegal activities.

May 13 — An officer observed a vehicle hit the building of a locate business. The accident was investigated, and the vehicle was towed from the scene.

May 13 — An officer was dispatched to a neighbor dispute complaint. The officer spoke with both parties, and advised them to leave each other alone unless they can interact civilly.

May 13 — An officer was dispatched to a barking dog complaint. The officer located the dog, but did not observe a violation. The officer spoke to the owner of the dog regarding the complaint, and the Municipal Ordinance regarding animals.

May 13 – While on a traffic stop an officer had contact with an intoxicated subject who was on probation. The subject was arrested for the probation violation.

May 14 — An officer was dispatched to a malicious destruction of property complaint. The officer investigated the scene, and the complaint remains open at this time.

May 14 — An officer was dispatched to a civil complaint. The officer spoke with both parties and advised them to avoid further contact unless they can resolve their issues peacefully.
