The hearing at 6:30 will be on medical marijuana.

“There was guy who came in a couple of months ago for a presentation on medical marijuana,” village clerk Marsha Turner said. “The council wants to get the community’s thoughts. Evidently, there’s some movement at the state level for it. Mostly, they want to get the community’s opinion. Then the council will probably discuss it and decide what they wanted to do if anything.
“It’s just a gathering-of-information meeting.”

What will take place after the hearing concerning medical marijuana could depend largely on that type of impact the council receives, Turner indicated, adding it would be up for council members to decide.
