Football victory, royalty crowned, spirit unleashed, make for a super HOMECOMING

It was a warm weekend, but still a memorable one for Marion students during their 2017 Homecoming celebration.

Christopher Wengert (king) and Carley Williams (queen) reigned over the Homecoming celebration.

Brandon Neuman (last year’s king), Erick Carey (runner-up), Christopher Wengert (king), Carley Williams (queen), Brooke Gillespie (runner-up), Kylie Sikkema (last year’s queen).

The court also included Erick Carey (king runner-up) and Brooke Gillespie (queen runner-up).

On hand to do the crowning of the 2017 king and queen were Kylie Sikkema (last year’s queen) and Brandon Neuman (last year’s king).

Marion’s football made it a winning homecoming with a 26-16 win over Mesick for the Eagles’ fourth straight win.

Friday festivities included a parade and tailgate party at the high school.

The homecoming theme was movies. Dress up days last week were: Monday, Inside Out; Tuesday, Grease; Wednesday, Pirates of the Caribbean; Thursday,Wizard of Oz and Friday, Maroon and White.
