McBain continues to stand atop the Highland Conference volleyball race after Tuesday night. The Lady Ramblers, playing at league foe Marion topped the Lady Eagles in straight sets, 25-7, 25-13 and 25-19.

“We are continuing to work on our offense, by speeding up our attack to beat the block,” McBain head coach Dawn VerBerkmoes said. ‘We had 34 team kills and Brooke Richards, our setter is doing a great job of mixing up her sets. It was a team effort.”

For Marion and head coach Selena Golnik, it was a good showing against the league’s top team.

“I am extremely proud of how my team is continuing to improve every day,” Golnik said. “They work hard and that’s all I can ask, we just did not get the job done this game. Weare looking forward to next week’s game at McBain Northern Michigan Christian.”
