The Missaukee County Board of Commissioners, at a special meeting on Thursday, Sept. 28, approved final budget amendments for the 2016-17 fiscal year.

Administrator Precia Garland pointed out general fund expenses were decreased by a net of $1,713 mainly because of the lack of unemployment claims during the year. She pointed out the corresponding charge to the final balanced appropriation will be a decrease from $145,373 to $143,660, for $1,713.

Garland presented to the board an application for an emergency housing grant for a propane furnace. Two bids for the project came in and were reviewed by the county’s housing committee. The committee recommended to award the bid to the low bidder, Ebels Heating Supply, and to proceed.

The board voted to approve the bid from Ebels for $6,818.

The board adjourned the meeting until 2 p.m on Oct. 10.
