Osceola County prosecuting attorney Tony Badovinac has confirmed a Hersey man will face charges for allegedly sexually assaulting an underage girl in Osceola County.

Badovinac said Cody Alan Biehl, 28, of Hersey was arraigned in Osceola County’s 77th District Court earlier this month.
“He is charged with two counts of CSC 2nd degree both 15-year felonies for allegedly touching for purpose of sexual arousal by force or coercion of a minor child,” Badovinac said.

Second-degree criminal sexual conduct is a felony and has a maximum punishment of 15 years in prison. There’s also lifetime electronic monitoring after parole from prison.

Published reports indicated the charges are related to incidents in Hersey Township on July 31 from an investigation conducted by the Michigan State Police. The alleged victim was under the age of 13.

The Osceola County 77th district court has announced a preliminary exam is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 9.
