Facebook Blackballs Christians & Conservatives

Letter to the Editor_BannerDear Editor:

I have heard that Facebook is run and managed by a group biased liberals under the management of Mark Zuckerberg.  I heard stories how Facebook declines certain advertising clients based on their liberal ideology.  But until you are personally impacted, do you really realize the reality of this truth.  I can now believe the rumors as I have been banned from advertising on Facebook.

I manage the “Wexford/Missaukee Right to Life page on Facebook and began advertising on Facebook in January 2017.

A few weeks ago, I submitted what was to be my next scheduled ad only to find I had been denied and blocked from further advertising.  I notified Facebook and asked why I was being banned and they replied: “All ad accounts are evaluated for policy compliance and quality of ad content.  When accounts run ads that don’t follow our ad policies, they’re disabled. There’s no further action that you may take here. We don’t support ads for your business model.  Please consider this decision final.”

I then appealed their decision and asked for a specific offense, and got this response:  “I had another look at your ad account and unfortunately we wont’t be able to re-activate it, please consider this decision final.”

Since then I have researched posts from other Facebook advertisers that have also been banned.  One of the many include an advertisment that was banned for the movie “I am a Christian” a story about Meriam Ibrahim’s life.  The Washington Times reported that film makers received a notice from FB that the ad could not be shown due to it’s “offensive” content that challnged it’s viewers to declare that Christians should declare that they are a Christian.  Facebook refused the ad and responded that this ad went against the company’s” policy”
