A Reed City man was arraigned earlier this month on more than a dozen charges related to stealing from his place of employment.

Adam Ripley, 28, is charged with 16 counts of larceny in a building. Court documents, according to published reports, alleges he several times took items from the Family Dollar in Reed City over the past several months.

All of Ripley’s charges are felonies, according to published reports. Larceny in a building has a maximum punishment of four years in prison.

Bond for Ripley is set at $50,000. A preliminary examination was scheduled Thursday, Nov. 30, in Osceola County’s 77th District Court.

“I do not know where it will end up as he has no criminal record,” Osceola County prosecuting attorney Tony Badovinac told the Marion Press. “Obviously restitution will be a part of any plea deal.”
