Evart Police Department Weekly Report
July 2: Suspicious Situation – Officers were dispatched to investigate a suspicious subject. Contact was made with the individual and it was determined that no services were required.  
July 2: Retail Fraud – Officers were called to a shoplifting complaint. The subject was arrested for retail fraud. The subject also had four outstanding warrants. They were transported to the Osceola County Jail where they were lodged on their charge and warrants. 
July 3: Property Damage Accident – Officers were called to a two-vehicle property damage accident. No injuries were reported. 
July 3:  Standby – Officers were called to conduct a standby during a custody exchange. 
July 3: Dog at Large – A dog at large was found and transported to the Osceola County Animal Shelter. 
July 3: Found Property – Some personal property was left at the Evart Police Department.  Attempts to locate the owner are being made. 
July 3: Malicious Destruction of Property – Officers were dispatched to a malicious destruction of property complaint.  The case is being sent to the prosecuting attorney for review. 
July 3: Civil/Obstruction – Officers were dispatched to an attempted breaking and entering complaint that was discovered to be a civil dispute. One subject was arrested for assaulting police and resisting arrest. The subject was transported to the Osceola County Jail where they were lodged on their charges. 
July 4: Domestic – Officers were dispatched to a domestic abuse between two siblings. One subject was arrested and transported to the Osceola County Jail where they were lodged on domestic assault charges.  
July 4: Property Damage Accident – Officers were dispatched to a two-vehicle property damage accident. No injuries were reported. 
July 4: Warrant Arrest – Officers made contact with a subject with an outstanding warrant. The subject was arrested and transported to the Osceola County Jail where they were lodged on their warrant.   
July 4: Fail to Pay – Officers were called to a failure to pay complaint at a local business. The case remains open at this time. 
July 5: Warrant Arrest – While on patrol, Officers made contact with a subject with outstanding warrants.  The subject was arrested and transported to the Osceola County Jail where they were lodged on their warrants. 
July 5: Assist OSCD – Officers assisted the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department with a vehicle fire. 
July 7: Assist – Officers were called to assist the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department with a domestic dispute. 
July 7:  Criminal Sexual Conduct – While investigating an unrelated complaint, officers were informed of a possible CSC that had occurred.  The case remains open at this time. 
July 7:  Trespass – Officers were dispatched to a trespassing complaint. One subject was served with a No Trespassing Notice and advised they would be arrested if they returned to the property.  
July 7: Disorderly/Malicious Destruction of Property – Officers were called to a report of an assault at a local park. Contact was made with a subject who was acting erratically and smelled of alcohol intoxicants. The subject was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.  They were transported to the Osceola County Jail where they were lodged on their charges. 
July 7:  Runaway – Officers were called to a report of a juvenile runaway.  The subject was located and contact was made with the subject’s probation officer who requested the youth be transported to the Muskegon River Youth Home for lodging. 
July 8: Private Property Damage Accident – Officers were dispatched to a two-vehicle private property damage accident. No injuries were reported.
