Osceola County Undersheriff Justin Halladay said the investigation is continuing in finding the suspect who robbed the Lake-Osceola State Bank on Friday, June 29, in Tustin.

“Nothing new, sorry to say,” Halladay told the Marion Press on Tuesday. “We are still following up on leads and tips that have come in, along with continuing to investigate what has been gathered.”

Last week, Halladay confirmed reports the suspect came into the bank and, holding a gun, demanded money. He hinted the suspect may have arrived and left on a bike on the White Pine trail. He added deputies are looking into the possibility the suspect left the trail and received a ride.

An amount of money taken has not been provided. Halladay’s office is being assisted by the Michigan State Police in investigating the robbery.

The suspect is believed to be a man, wearing a black coat, with blue jeans and a black mask with a hand gun. |

Anyone with more information is asked to call the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office at (231) 832-2288.
