The Marion Board of Education met on Tuesday and superintendent Chris Arrington said “in the very near future,” he’ll have a meeting with a nonquorum ODF two or three board members and will be dealing with the construction manager.

“There’s some money left over from the bond (approval),” Arrington said. “There’s still a little bit of work here and there that hasn’t been done.”

Arrington, board members and others will be reviewing current facility needs.
The board held a closed session but Arrington said he couldn’t offer additional details

A new victory bell has been donated to the varsity football field, Arrington said.

Arrington has been Director of Instructional Services at Port Huron and superintendent of Bentley Community schools prior to coming to Marion.

He is also elementary school principal.
