MHS plans, court set for homecoming

Marion High School principal and athletic director Danyel Prielipp has announced plans for the 2018 Homecoming the week of Oct. 8. Homecoming Day is on Oct. 12.

The theme this year is Holidays and will be the theme throughout week for dressup days.

Dress up days: Monday, Christmas Day; Tuesday, Valentine’s Day; Wednesday Halloween Day; Thursday, Fourth of July Day; and Friday, Maroon and White Day.

Pep Assemblies will be on Friday, Oct. 12 at 1 p.m. for the elementary and 2:35 p.m. for the high school and junior high.
There will be a tailgate party starting at 5 p.m. on Ocr. 12 in the high school parking lot. Hot dogs and pop will be served, and individuals are asked to sign up if they are interested in helping. Volunteers are still needed.

The event is sponsored by the MEA, Marion staff and 7-up.

The homecoming parade will begin at the railroad tracks at 6 p.m on Oct. 12. The line-up will be at 5:15 p.m. on Chadwick Street.

Homecoming football game will be Oct. 12 against Ashley, starting at 7 p.m.
