Carroll Herbert Goodrich

Carroll Herbert Goodrich age 86 passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, January 4, 2019. He was born on January 11, 1932 in Clare County to Carlos and Anna Goodrich. Carroll married the love of his life Muriel Melvina (Snyder) Goodrich on February 3, 1951 in Temple, Michigan.

Carroll was a lifelong farmer, after his dad and grandfather in Marion, Michigan. He was a very hard working, generous, loving, kind hearted man, he loved his family, farming, cattle, and working in the fields. He was an over the road semi- truck driver and also was a milk delivery man, but farming was his passion. He enjoyed having company, and all the children that came to visit him as they also enjoyed visiting with him. He enjoyed listening to Johnny Cash and watching western movies. He suffered with dementia for years but always talked about how he had work to do on the farm.

Carroll is survived by his son Frank (Linda) Goodrich of Marion, daughters Mary (James) Futia of Beaverton, Sue (James) Marsh of North Dakota, Ruth (Delray) Gugle of North Dakota, Marjorie (Charles) Fisher of Marion, daughter in-law Vicki Goodrich of Gladwin, brother Russell (Lorraine) Goodrich of Arizona, grandchildren Tammy Turner, Clark Goodrich, Agatha Pickering, Corrine Smith, John Goodrich, Renee Egelski, Tim Goodrich, Amy Goodrich, Robert Warner, Annette Finney, Pam Yonkos, Penny Seely, Jennifer Goodrich, Justin Gould, Jeanette Anderson, Jason Bigford, Mindy Faulman, Ashley Plowman, Dawn Skaar, Dusty Gugle, Shawn Gugle, Taylor Goodrich, Abigail Fisher, Daniel Fisher, and several great-grandchildren.
Carroll was preceded in death by his parents, the love of his life Muriel in June of 2018, oldest son Carl H. Goodrich in February of 2017, grandsons Christopher Goodrich, Joshua Balcer, Wyatt Fisher, granddaughter Kaydance Faulman, and a sister Jackie Cavanagh.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 a 4:00 PM at the Burkholder Family Funeral Home in McBain with Rev. Bill Dyke officiating, visitation will be held the same day from 2:00 PM until the time of service, Carrol’s final resting place will be next to his wife in Greenwood cemetery in Marion, Michigan. A luncheon will follow at the Winterfield Township Hall.
