The Missaukee County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday increased the 9-1-1 surcharge rate to $3 per month, as approved by the voters on August 7, 2018.

Also at the meeting, the board approved the Capital Improvement Program document for years 2020-2024 as presented.
The board appointed Bruce Miller and Donald Shaarda to the Planning Commission, both with terms ending March 30, 2022.
The board heard a building and grounds report from

Administrator Precia Garland, who gave an update on the Annex Building construction project and said the project is moving along quickly.

Commissioners were told the DHHS had its second executive meeting regarding the universal call center program and that progress is being made to fix the problems with that system. The Planning Commission has a meeting scheduled with a broadband vendor with hopes there could be more options for internet in Missaukee County.
