Dick had many careers starting in the farming business, car sales and finance in the area, but most of all will be remembered for Swiler’s Fruit Market and Swiler’s Sport Center. He also was very involved with school sports where he volunteered for many years doing many things, such as running the clock, clearing off the football field, and anything that involved his children and grandchildren. If anyone needed anything done Dick was always there to help. He was involved with the Niver’s Team Highland Racing team to which they were inducted into the Motorsports Hall of Fame. After retirement Dick and Arlene spent many years at Country Aire Village in Zephyrhills, Florida where he continued to be of help to any of the many activities that took place at the park.

His wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren were his life and they all meant the world to him. He attended most of all of their sporting events and school events; he loved to deer hunt with his sons and grandsons, fish, and planting flowers at his home.

He leaves behind his wife and children, his grandchildren Todd (MaLinda) Baker, Trisha (Scott) Schepers, Thad (Jennifer) Baker, Mike (Barb) King, David (Karen) Swiler, Stacie (Doug) Zeien, Nathan (Bridget) Swiler, Amy (Duane) Dykhouse, Adam (Laura) Swiler, Christopher (Laura) Boudrie, Jennifer (Ben) Cobb, as well as 26 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren, his brother Bryce (Carol) Swiler, brother in-law Carl Raymond, Bruce (Sharon) Raymond, and Dale (Linda) Raymond, and many nieces and nephews.

Swiler and Lillian Swiler, his sister and brother in-law Carol and Dan Fetterman, father and mother in-law Daniel and Louella Raymond, sister in-law Pauline Raymond, son in-law William Boudrie, granddaughter Tammy Boudrie, and daughter in-law Loretta Swiler.
