$246k road project to begin on 15 mile

Luke D. Houlton. of the Osceola County Road Commission, has announced work is expected to begin on 15 Mile Road between Birch Run Drive and Penesal Road southeast of LeRoy on Monday, April 29.

The roadwork will begin on 15 Mile Road between Birch Run Drive and Penesol Road on April 29th.

“The $246,000 cooperative project between Rose Lake Township and the Osceola County Road Commission will improve the existing gravel road section to a paved road,” Houlton said. “The work is being performed by D.J. McQuestion & Sons, Inc. of LeRoy.

“During construction the road will be closed to through traffic with a detour setup using LeRoy Road to the north. All work is to be completed no later than June 30, 2019.”

Among the other projects set for this summer is in Middle Branch Township, with a $502,000 project on 15 Mile Road with reconstruction from 60th Ave. to M-66. Another project is $109,750 worth of graveling at various locations within Marion Township.

There are chip and fog seal projects in Highland Township. One is on 20 Mile Road, from 120th Ave to M-115. Another is on 21 Mile road from 110th Ave. to 100th Ave. The third project is on 21 Mile Road from 80th Ave. to 70th Ave. The fourth is on 80th Ave. from 20 Mile to 21 Mile Road.
