The Missaukee County clerk Jessica Nielsen presented an interagency agreement with Northern Lakes Community Mental Health during the county finance committee meeting on April 17.

This involves both Wexford and Missaukee Counties, and is required by PA 28 of 2014. This agreement is being updated from a previous agreement to reflect changes in personnel for the Departments involved in the agreement and is otherwise unchanged, Nielsen said

Lori Cox, Treasurer, presented monthly financial reports for March, and told the committee, during an update on tax foreclosures, there were 12 parcels of property that were foreclosed on. Cox also talked about a proposed resolution for the 2019 property tax levy required by statute in order to collect summer tax at the Headlee reduced fraction of 4.9005 mills.
Nielsen discussed a proposed contract with Atwell LLC for the 2019 Remonumentation Grant surveying project for $36,600. This is the exact amount of the grant awarded to the County from the State of Michigan. Nielsen said the contract is similar to the one entered each year.

Nielsen reviewed proposed budget amendments for the second quarter of the fiscal year 2019. The amendments include an estimated revenue for personal property tax replacement and other increased fees. Expenditures were also amended in the general fund to adjust to actual expenses reflecting staffing changes, new grant funds and increased court costs and others. The overall change to the general fund is a decrease to the appropriated fund balance of $3,997, from $100,506 to $96,509.
