Safety policies reviewed by Missaukee

The Missaukee County Board of Commissioners took action on policies during its finance committee meeting on Thursday, April 4.

County clerk Jessica Nielsen also presented a proposed new policy, P-16100 Personal Protective Equipment. This policy is based on a best practices model provided by the county’s liability insurance carrier, she said.
The policy was reviewed and recommended by the County Safety Committee for approval.

The policy would be used to ensure the safety of county employees. It provides persons protective equipment when necessary, and to provide training to implement any protective equipment.

Nielsen also presented Claims and Accounts/Accounts Payable F-3310 Policy with proposed revisions. The revisions proposed include small adjustments matching the procedure currently being used, and adding an additional section for circumstances when payments are made to vendors in advance of service or product deliver, Nielsen said..

The item was referred to the entire Board of Commissioners for action as its next meeting.
