LAKE CITY — Missaukee County administrator Precia Garland presented a preventative maintenance contract for the county’s HVAC units during the county’s finance committee meeting last Thursday.

Garland pointed out the contract is an extension with the current provider, Arms & Cole, Inc., a division of Hurst Mechanical of Traverse City. The agreement is a one-year extension, at the same pricing as the current year, Garland pointed out.

The county administrator also presented the County’s L4029 document, which she said needed to be approved and signed before the 2019 tax levy, and provided to each local township or city clerk.

In her monthly financial reports for April, treasurer Lori Cox also gave an update on the tax foreclosures and recommended dispensation of the Tax Foreclosure 2017 funds. She reported $579.13 will be going to the 516 Tax Foreclosure Fund and $29,484.70 to the 530 Fund.

Also in her report. Cox said Butterfield Township has expressed an interest in the old Merritt school building.

The committee also reviewed with Garland a discussion on Kalkaska County’s request to be removed from the point of sale septic inspection program. The issue will be discussed in June like the county board.
