Osceola man faces charges

TUSTIN — A 49-year-old northern Osceola man was recently arrested and faces weapons and driving charges.

According to local published reports, Scott Poumade, 49 was stopped the evening of April 17 on a traffic violation by a Michigan State Police trooper, who later discovered Poumade, who stopped his car on Old U.S. 131, south of Cadillac, did not have a valid driver’s license.

The trooper also discovered a .22 handgun in Poumades’ car and learned he did not have a valid concealed pistol license. He was later arrested and taken to the Wexford County jail.

According to reports, the Wexford County prosecutor’s office charged the man with driving with a concealed weapon and with his license suspended, which is a second or subsequent offense.

He’s had previous convictions, according to reports, and was charged as an habitual offender during arraignment on April 18 in 84th District Court.
