The Missaukee County Housing Committee has various items to tackle at its next meeting on July 17.

“They’ll need to take action on two current applications,” county administrator Precia Garland said. “They also need to review one new application. These are for emergency housing (for low-income assistance).”
Garland announced the county has been offered a grant for making a small addition to the recycling center.

“It would add indoor plumbing, breakroom and heat for the employees and allow us to expand operations with the facility,” Garland said.
Work continues on the next budget.

There will be a public budget hearing at the August 13th board meeting, Garland said.

Also coming up will be meetings of the personnel committee and Buildings and Grounds Committee on July 18, and the park commission on Aug. 8.
