Nehmer to participate in NYLF

This summer, Alystair Nehmer, age 10, from Reed City, will join outstanding elementary school students from across the Country to take part in a unique academic and career oriented development experience, the National Youth Leadership Forum (NYLF): Pathways to STEM, taking place in Bowling Green University, Ohio. NYLF Pathways to STEM is one of the Envision family of programs ( that enable students to explore their interests and experience learning beyond the classroom. 

Alystair was nominated by GT Norman Elementary teacher, Susan Rice for his exemplary attitude, integrity and academic testing achievements amongst his peers. Thus far, Alystair is the only student to ever attend the Envision Stem program and represent his school. He is a Cub Scout with Reed City Pack 174, plays football, baseball and basketball and loves fishing kayaking and camping. Alystair aspires to attend the University of Michigan when he graduates high school. Alystair is looking forward to meeting new people at STEM and participating in Forensics and Robotics while gaining the hands-on experience that the forum provides.
