“Milling Around the Pond”
Friday, August 2nd:
9 am: Street Vendors on Main St.
11 am – 5 pm: Yard Sale and Bingo at the VFW Hall.
11 am – 5 pm: United Methodist Church Sidewalk Sale
5 pm – 8 pm: Cruise-In: Cruise on down and see your friends on Main Street. Public welcome to join for music, hot dogs, chips, pop and more! Sponsored by Flashback Café & Barb’s Creekside Salon.
5 pm – 1 am: Horseshoe Bar Beverage Tent
6 pm: Registration starts for the Corn Hole Tournament. Games start at 7 pm at the ball fields. $40 per two-person team. 50% of proceeds go to the Marion PTO. Contact Jeising4@gmail.com for more information.
Saturday, August 3rd:
7:30 am: Marion Days 5k Run/Walk Check in. Located at High School. Race begins at 8 am. Contact Terry Kischnick at 231-499-0587 or visit marionofd5k.com for more information.
8 am: 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament at Marion Park. Registration Deadline is July 26th. Forms available at local businesses. 4 players per team. Open to all ages. $80 per team (17 and under) $100 per adult team. For questions or to register, contact Dan at 989-418-1358, or email dan@mybackwoods.com. Payments to Marion Athletic Boosters.

KIDS ZONE BEGINS AT 9:30 AM
9:30 am: Kids Obstacle Course located at the football fields.
10 am: Pony Rides
10 am – 1:30 pm: Children penny scramble for kids 10 and under. Brought to you by Ivan Herr.
10 am – 1:30 pm: Children’s Games on Main Street. Pure fun & contests for kids 14 and under. A wide range of activities including face painting.
10 am – 4 pm: Free Bounce House located in the Layline parking lot, sponsored by Farm Bureau Insurance.
11 am: Frog and toad jumping contest. Bring your best jumping frog or toad.
1 pm: Banana-split eating contest at the Marion Frosty Freeze.
2:30 pm: Children’s Parade, 12 years and younger located at Layline parking lot. Pets welcome. Prizes for best costumes.
9 am – 12 pm: Marion Fire Truck Display at the Village Hall
9 am – 2 pm: 14th Annual Car, Truck, & Semi Show at the Marion Fairgrounds. In Memory of Orris & Nancy Brackett. Contact Gary at 231-679-1265 for more info.
9 am – 5 pm: United Methodist Church Sidewalk Sale
9 am – 5 pm: Crafts, Demonstrations & More. Located at Christie’s Vintage Stone Venue.

12 pm – 3 pm: Marion VFW Chicken BBQ.
1 pm – 2 pm: Marion School Alumni Open house at the high school. Public Welcome.
3:30 pm: Grand Parade lineup at the high school.
4 pm: Grand Parade “Milling around the Pond” down Main Street.
5 pm: 50/50 Drawing in front of Flemming’s.
6 pm: Duck Race on the Middle Branch.
7 pm: Music in the Park, located at the river pavilion, sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce.
Sunday, August 4th:
8:30 am – 1 pm: VFW Breakfast
9 am: Sand Volleyball Tournament at Veterans Park. Contact Robin at 231-667-7750 for more information. Flyers available at Marion Shell.
1 pm: Floatilla for all ages. Starts at the river parking lot. Build a float with cardboard, duct tape, or tape for a ride down the river. Contact Raymond French with questions.
