Jensen chosen to run Missaukee COA

Missaukee County Commission Aging Director Erik Karbowski confirmed last week he was leaving his post to work with MSU Extension.

The official confirmation of his successor was made a few days later.
“I’m happy to share that the board of directors has approved the hire of Heather Jensen as the next Executive Director for the MCCOA,” Karbowski said. “Heather is currently the Executive Director of the Lake City Chamber of Commerce. Heather will bring a wealth of resources and connections to the MCCOA.

“Heather’s first day will be Monday Sept. 9,COA and I wanted to link her with as many contacts as possible as she starts her new role.”

The county website points out the COA provides in-home supportive care to nearly 500 older adults in Missaukee County.

In home care service includes homemaking, personal care, respite care, home chore, foot care and medication setup. Support services are transportation, medicare, medicaid assistance program information and assistance, snow removal and green address signs.
