Missaukee board okays budget

LAKE CITY — The Missaukee County Board of Commissioners adopted the Missaukee County 2019-20 fiscal year budgets with the following changes: increasing the juvenile defense contract to total amount of $60,000 and the assistant prosecutor salary to total amount $36,365.

The board approved the proposed intergovernmental agreement to create the Missaukee County Land Bank Authority as presented.

Commissioners voted to ratify the Executive Committee’s decision to decline the EGLE Recycling Center infrastructure grant.

The board approved the proposed contract between the State of Michigan Department of Health and Human Services and Missaukee County for legal representation services by the Prosecuting Attorney’s office for abuse and neglect cases as presented.

Commissioners also OKed the bid and proposed contract as presented for Central Professional Services of Cadillac for collection services on delinquent accounts for the EMS Department.

The board approved the proposed letter of agreement between the county and the AFSCME Supervisory Union agreement, to establish Head Custodian, Jeff Lyle, as the county’s safety coordinator position.

Commissioners approved the low bidder, Pete’s Contracting of Falmouth, for $11,899.47, to repair the sink hole between the jail and the Sheriff Department’s garage.
