Lady Eagles Bow Out in Volleyball District Finals

Marion wasn’t able to slow down the fast-striking Traverse City Christian volleyball team Friday night. As a result, the Lady Eagles had their season ended by the Lady Sabres in straight sets 25-18, 25-19 and 25-14.

Leading the team in the loss was Jersey Scott with 11 kills, 15 digs, two blocks, four aces and one assist, Ryle Richards had nine aces, 11 digs and one block, Teagan Cox tallied 24 assists, two kills, three blocks and seven digs and Isabell Bontekoe

On Wednesday, Nov. 6 the Eagles won their district semi-final game over McBain Northern Michigan Christian, 25-14, 25-23 and 25-18.

Richards had a big night with 16 kills, nine digs, three aces and one assist, Scott had 12 kills, 11 digs, six aces and one block, Cox finished with 29 assists, two kills, three blocks and two aces and Ogho Osadiaye added four kills and two blocks and Emily Krchmar tallied two kills, three aces and four blocks.
