MARION — The Osceola County Board of Commissioners, at its Tuesday meeting, approved the Rose Lake fishing dock purchase from NuCraft Metal Products for $5,013.17 with funds coming from the capital equipment line item.

“They approved it,” commissioner Tim Michell said. “Anything over $5,000 has to be approved.”

The commission accepted the EMS Bad Dept Report for August through October 2019 as presented.

The commission approved the agreement with Keeping the Memory Alive LLC as the Elvis tribute artist for the Commission on Aging’s senior party.

The Christmas Party was set for Dec. 11, Michell said.

The commission also approved the continuation of the standing Board Committees and appropriated the 2020 budget until the first board meeting on Jan. 7, 2020.

The commission approved the agreement for extension services with the Michigan State University on behalf of MSU Extension.

Mitchell voted against it.

“They increased it three percent over last year,” Michell said. “I didn’t think they had to raise it by three percent.”
